I wrote and published Dark Moon Rising in December 2017. It was the second novel in the EJ Hunter series. EJ comes home from her military service in Afghanistan and a shooter tries to kill her unit as they are giving back their weapons to their weapons master. She turns into a werewolf and kills the shooter. EJ Hunter’s story starts in She Called It, Wolf.
I love the cover on the first book, but when I was looking for pictures in Dreamstime, I couldn’t find one that worked for me. I settled with this cover.
The cover was too dark and too green. When I tried to lighten it up, you could see the picture. So today I decided to look for some AI art that I could use for a redo on this cover.
I came up with a few ideas:
There are some dark elements to this story, but the wolves look a little evil.
This one looks more of a family grouping, but they aren’t howling at the moon.
It is important that I have a moon and wolves in the picture. It’s not quite what I want, put it is much much better than the original cover.
This is more what I’m looking for—
and this one has the dark moon.
So my question is— which one 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 should be the cover? I am leaning towards 4, but five is the dark moon. Let me know in the comments, which one you like best.
I would really like it if you would do me a solid and help me figure out the best cover. Plus I would love to have more subscribers. If I get a few more paid subscriptions, I will serialize one of my books that I am writing— which means a chapter a week on a new book.
Thank you for reading and please comment on which picture would look best on my book.
I personally like #5☺️ I really like the contrast with Wolve’s 🐺brightness& the Dark Moon🌘
I vote for #2!
