Writer's life
I wrote a lot the last two days on my "Xander Peel." I wish I could say it was because I was a disciplined writer and had my writing time scheduled.
The fact of the matter is that my kindle fire stick died a major heated death. I read a lot as well. I went back to the Kate Daniel series written by Ilona Andrews, a husband and wife writing team.
I realized the last two days that I spent too much time wandering around my favorite media sites and youtube sites. I would get into this pattern of hitting each site several times to read something new.
With the kindle fire dead and I'm waiting for another one, I had time. Yes, it has been an epiphany. I am a master at wasting time.
I have used the Pomodoro technique. It is a really good way to get an unwilling head into just writing again. Now I just put a timer on for 30 minutes and write during that time. It really focuses the attention to what I should be doing instead of the dusty cabinets and floors or the dirty dishes in the sink.
As someone with a chronic illness and with a lot of things I need to do to keep my kidneys going, I have to squeeze in the important things and be a little less anal about the other things.
Because I was without my normal entertainment methods, I wrote 3,000 words in the last two days. I know that isn't much in the writer's life, but in my life that is moving along especially because I have so many things I need to keep on a time schedule.
On some good news Alexandro Bothelo will be reading some (or one) of my poetry on "Writings on the Wall" on diverseTV on youtube. Here is a link to his past shows: https://www.minds.com/cynbagley/#:~:text=https%3A//www.youtube.com/playlist%3Flist%3DPLNpMVpNeMNh_bUS31h61dDFDARMXxG3R0
