It’s been awhile since I’ve tried to write a newsletter. As you can see the dog is healthy and makes sure that every bowl in the house is clean doggy-style. I’m staying as healthy as possible while connecting to a dialysis machine at night.
Instead of writing, I have been brushing up on old skills like making bread and broths. Plus I picked up crocheting again— shawls, hats, and gloves.
Since I’ve been dealing with allergies and a few allergic events, I’ve learned how to cook clean. If I want a protein cookie, instead of buying it because I have a reaction to corn syrup and fiber, I make my own. I’m also learning how to make my own sourdough starter. To be fair my first attempt wasn’t that good.
I’m back to making my own bread and rolls. Eventually I will have a little cookbook of the recipes that I adjusted for my eating pleasure. But that is in the future.
I feel a little ashamed that I haven’t written creatively for a couple of years. The years have slipped by me as I dealt with doctors and more doctors. So now I can say that I went through all of the tests required by the transplant office and am now on the transplant list.
Well, see what happens next. In the meantime I may even pickup a pen again and write.

Don't feel ashamed, major health issues are a well known cause of having problems with writing!
Nice to hear from you! I love tweaking recipes to make them healthier, customized to my health needs! I got a new KitchenAid mixer for Christmas which had taken my baking to a new level! Love it!
Glad to hear you’re on the transplant list! Glad to hear Foxy is doing well!
Thanks for the update! Stay in touch!
