So it has been a long time since I promised to finish writing the “Unlicensed Sorceress.” Between moves, deaths, and dialysis, every time I sat down to write, I would either get tired or my brain would stop working.
“Unlicensed Sorceress” is book 3 in the “Hilda’s Inn series.” Hilda’s Inn for Retired Heroes introduces the reader to Hilda, who retired to bcome an inkeeper, which was a much safer life than her past work. For some reason, the Lord of the city wants her particular property. Even worse Hilda can work magic in a world where magic has to have a license to be used.
Dragon Boy, the second book in the series, continues Hilda’s story intertwined with the boy turned dragon, Davi. It is a race through the land to get to Konigstadt. Hilda believes that if she can get to the king, she could stop an overthrow of the government. But there is the little fact that as an unlicensed mage, she could be either thrown into prison or killed for the crime of committing magic.
So yes, Unlicensed Sorceress needs to be written because Hilda hasn’t met the king yet. Will she meet the king? Or will she only meet the prince? What happens when Davi is discovered as a dragonling? The mages love their dragon potions and hate dragons. It didn’t help that the war was fought against dragons.
Even I don’t know the ending. I did make a book cover though.
And to my friends who have been waiting so long for this one, I’m so sorry. Mea culpa. Mea culpa.
