So it’s been the first time in two months that I’ve felt good enough to write. Now I have to get into the habit again.
I managed to go to the Hemotologist because of the low red blood count but by the time I saw him, it had gone up that he saw no problem with it. Also he didn’t see the high iron. He did say that I had anemia, but at this point my body would heal itself. I’m keeping that a positive point because for a long time I was sure I would end up back in the hospital with a blood transfusion. No shots either.
So I have to bring this back to the UMC transplant office on Thursday. It is really hard to say that the blood doctor didn’t find anything too abnormal. I was put back on a pill for the CMV virus and that is what has been making me feel better every day.
Also I had a high Co2 which makes my stomach bubble. The help for that is Sodium Bicarbonate in pill form.
So more labs and we will see if my viruses are finally gone or on their way.
The politics have been crazy. I’ll have to quit watching it because I seem to get worse when I watch the two parties and their supporters do crazy things. It also gives me a stomach ache that 4,000 Marines are being shipped to the Middle East. I don’t want to see another war. I’ve already seen damage on the Vietnam, Iraqi, Somali, and Afganistan Vets. Such young people are devastated that they can barely stand the civilian world.
More suicides.
So my two points are: I’m getting better and I need to quit watching the news and politics again.
Happy to hear from you Cyn! Glad everything is coming along. I only watched a little political stuff. Sick of them tearing each other apart. I want to know if I vote for you how will you fix the border, economy and everything that goes along with it. Maybe movie night tonight! ♥️
Hi Cyn,
Appreciate your note. I'm a nurse who got infected with cytomegalovirus and can say my experience is that long term it has affected my energy and my white counts for years were super low from it. It contributed to a CFS I've experienced for 40 years. Now my wbc are normal finally! I caught COVID over four years ago at work and never recovered. So I now have chronic kidney failure, three strokes and unremitting exhaustion. Just saying, I get what it's like to want to do stuff but fatigue and illness gets in the way. I enjoy reading your work.
