Your Silence

Silence rest a pause between notes— you sleep. Your body curls against mine as you love me. Awake— your voice rumbles in the distance.

Your heart beats Your sinews settle Your stomach snarls over the meal I made you.

I nod your lips round and move your words settle in the silence

For in my soul's song, you love me.
