I've been reading
The last few days I've been bone tired. That tired where you are too tired to sleep, but too tired to move. When I am in that state, I read.
I make sure the dog gets her food. I give her some pumpkin for her stomach and a special food for her enlarged liver. I make sure I get my pills and eat my high protein diet, then I load my kindle with one of my favorite authors and read.
So the last two days I've been reading "Kate Daniels series" by Ilona Andrews, a husband and wife writing team. And yes, reading is an escape for me.
Then when I finished that series, I started on Andrew's "Hidden Legacy" series. It has been a lovely few days. I knew I was feeling better this morning, when I had enough energy to run my three days of garbage to the dumpster.
So my writing suffered. Part of the reason was because I had a persistent headache. It felt better to read.
No excuses. Today and tomorrow are doctor's appointments. Tomorrow I go to my first kidney transplant appointment.
