To be more in my time was to be soldier, to slide in the slime under barbed wires.
They took the young ones clothed in uniforms and gave them guns to fight the enemy.
In the trenches they died in thousands. The stenches covered the land.
No one remembers the first World War. No one remembers the soldiers.
